Catwalk for a Cause
Fashion for everyday folks as fund-raising is something that
Anna Tsang is adept at. She is a gifted designer who has been based in Siem
Reap for the past seven years, helping mothers in villages to sew and raise
their children with dignity ( MOD – Mothers of Dignity ) Her husband, Joe, is
by her side, providing support in every way, multi-tasking as teacher,
facilitator, and a much needed Father figure to the children.
Every few times a year, Anna returns to Singapore with her
bounty of outfits and accessories sewn by these mothers. That’s where the fun
begins. The models are drawn from all walks of life, in all shapes and sizes.
Anna has a knack of creating clothes that suit everyone. They may not look like
much on the racks but once you try them on, a certain magical transformation
takes place.
This took place in May. Stay turned for another exiting
event coming up on 11 Oct.
